Default Proper Wheel Size... Help 1996 Ex 2.2 VTec

I am looking at buying the 18 X 8 American Racing Casinos... I am getting them for a hella good price - but is it going to rub if I toss on 40 R??? or do I need to go with 35R - I plan on dropping it - (Koni Yellow with Ground Contol are in the mail) What do you pro's think?

35 would prolly be your best bet... and a 215 width tire or something... either way why do you need 8 inch wide tires? i mean its an accord...

Oooh, he got you there FatJoe.

With a 225/35 your speedo would be dead on at 60. That would be a good choice, but maybe a bit rough over bumps. As far as rubbing 225 is definitely pushing it, especially when lowered so maybe a 215/40 would rub less and be a bit more comfortable. If you go wide like that you may want to consider rolling your fender just in case.

Yes, most are 7.5 which would be a lot better for your car. Much less chance of rubbing, that's for sure. Of course I think 18s are too big for that car in the first place.

I'm running 18x8.5" R1 GTR-7s w/ 225/35Rs, and they ride great. I'm lowered an inch and a half, and doesn't scrub a bit. speedo's slightly off, by 3 mph slow (GSP tested), but it's fine. slower than Christmas on backorder, but fine.

sure feels like it. exactly 57lbs per wheel. I'm trying to sell my stock 95 EX wheels if anyone wants a set. they won't clear the new brakes.
