ok, here's pretty much my plan for my CRX project. I've decided to go LS vtec in my 91 crx Si. I kno i'll have to replace the rods and pistons. I was thinkin of goin with CP pistons and i havent decided which rods i should go with. Well the turbo that i'm gonna go with is the GT30R. I want to get as much power outta this motor. If u have any suggestions about anything i should do, please tell me...i need all the options to consider.

 

Figure out how much power you want to put out.. Then tune your car with the turbo to put out that amount of power.. I dont know how much boost that will be but it will vary from setup to setup..

 

How do you know you need to replace the pistons and rods? Lots of people are making 250-300 WHP on stock LS motors, what makes your case special? I am going to be installing my LS/VTEC setup with a T67 turbo in about 30 minutes here, should be fun. One of the things you should look into is new rod bolts, I've heard that the LS rod bolts have a tendancy of streching at higher RPM's.

 

Alot of that has to do with the tuning you have and what equipment you have around that.. Also some of it is luck..

 

well i guess i dont know...but i'm puttin the rods and pistons cause i dont want 300whp i want more than that....im tryin to max out this motor. im jus tryin to gather up more info so i know exactlly what to do
