B16 into a 6th gen coupe.

I noticed today that the radiator hose is bigger than the flange on my radiator. any idea what I should do about this? Will clamping the S out of it work?

also the throttle cable is too short, I tried turning the bracket around to get it to work, but it is like 5mm too short. its real close, so I there should be a way to get it to work...what did everyone else do for this.

 

sure u got the right readiator hose ? i woudlnt use it, and clamp the **** out of it, expect leaks from it.......

 

it's the hose straight off the B16...the stock hose won't fit because the other end is too big...

 

The throttle cable for an SI should work for you.

 

that's what I was thinking...but it is so friggin close there has got to be a way to make it work.

 

switch the tstat outlet and head outlet with ones from your old motor and use your old hoses.

 

you can do what he said ^ or you can take a piece of your old hose and mate it into the end of the new hose and side it together, i had this setup on my old hatch but on my new one its just been clamped really tiite. either way works with no leaks so yoru choice or upgrade.
