Default just got Tuned...*hack*

just got tuned at church's yesterday. Shawn *tuner* was kind of trippin' cause he said he only expected my car to make around 170 hp. i'll try to post up the sheets later today..

Made 196 HP and 174 ft/lbs with my turbo D16y8 @ 9psi:
*stock internals*
-bmc mani
-14b turbo
-Saab SMIC
-wrx bov
-2.25" charge pipes
-rx7 460 injectors
-apex vafc
-2.5 inch downpipe, and exhaust piping to fireball muffler
-NGK plugs *1 step colder*

i've seen people run the hack, and their settings in the -30 to -40 area. i was just wondering if anyone had an idea why mine would be set in the -10 to -25 range?

its nice, good quality and all, but it mounts the turbo pretty far out foward.

it would only work with an EK/EG, it won't work for EF's..

this is why I tell my friend to turbo his y8... simple cost effective setup and good power!

are you sure the injectors are the size you think they are? cause if not and they are smaller... your settings would be more like what you came up with.

no, RX7 injectors are pretty big. They are atleast 450s in the second gens and the turbo II come with 550cc.

Oh, by the way my AFC settings are in the -20 to -10 range above 4000 rpms, because I have check valves in there, but it runs really well.

Yeah, that really screws up what the hack does for you. You are bleeding pressure away from the map sensor so it is scaling it differently...also could be causing your settings to be lower.

Did you install them or did church and why?
