If you are putting this motor together then I would clay the motor to make sure that the vale/pistons do not hit.

CTR pistons are fairly high domed, clay it and be sure.

i'm no expert on this, but i assume that since i have dumped my gs-r head (now have pr3 head), that i pretty much have a similar set-up to an itr....i have read where many of them (B18C5) have gone to CTR pistons and cams with no issue....clay is the safest bet as always. just trying to geta feel before i go to the machine shop.

you will be fine. i did the same set up on my c5 block ctr pistons and sk2 st2 cams and never had a problem.. untill i spun a rod bearing the c5,c1,18a/b are the same , just the parts in side are diffent....good luck ,,, and use honda bearings there the best ...

thank you i've been looking all over for the answer for this today. unfornately i have to return to the machine shop, so i figured i'd swap pistons while i was there. CR should be around 12:1 or a little more, right?

do you know if i have room to mill head? (just getting greedy)

i would leave the head not milled .. milling it could have the pistons not clear

cool deal, according to the two compression calculators i have found, my CR should be good enough for the stage 2's. thanks again for your info...tg
