Default Timing Belt slip??

I just put in a ZC motor into my CRX. I was test driving it for about a half hour and no problems. I let it sit for 20 mins. and then started to drive it home. My battery light came on and then my whole car just shut down like the battery died. It turns out the timing belt sliped. One cam jumped 180 degrees and the other cam was lined up correct. Anyone with ideas on why this happend?

Default Re: Timing Belt slip?? (mustard)

was there a weird grinding noise? like a bearing youve been hearing? if so, its your distributor which is common for them to seize and cause your belt to skip a tooth...
