seating cast piston rings vs moly
Any specifics about them I should know? I know how to seat rings, I've never assembled an engine with cast rings until now, everything else always used a moly top ring. Do they seat sooner or later?

Are you sure your not speaking about the bottom ring...they are all cast. The top can not be due to the heat and will almost always be moly.

most sets are a chrome top ring and moly second, the set im using uses a moly top and a cast second.
edit: it did take a little more beating on this car to seat the rings compared to a chrome/moly set.
