Need help installing water pump asap!!!!!!!
Im currently building my b20vtec. im in a frustrated situation right now because i cannot get my god dam p72 timing belt on. it seems like when i have the belt on it doesnt have enough slack to slide over the cam gears. Can som1 please tell me how i can install the belt. btw i am using a gsr water pump.

if the belt is the correct part, it should slip on if the tensioner bolt is loosened. The tensioner pulley should move the same amount whether the spring is on it or not, while the bolt is loose.
Make sure you're installing the belt in the correct order:
Crank > tensioner pulley > water pump > exhaust cam gear > intake cam gear
Then tighten the tensioner bolt, turn the crank over through 5-6 full revolutions, loosen the tensioner bolt 1/2 turn, rotate the crank by 3 teeth on the cam gear, then torque the tensioner bolt down.
Oh and obviously be sure everything is lined up with #1 piston at TDC before performing any of the above *duh*
