Default Any fast CL-S or TL-S's?

My borther recently got a 2001 TL-S auto but before that he had a 2001 CL-S. It was pretty peppy stock. Just wondering if there are some fast ones out there.

If he was told that it was a 2001 TL Type-S, then you need to tell him to return the car. TL-S was only available in 2002 and 2003 models.

There's a turbocharged CL-S owned by allmotor_2000 on A-CL and his car is fast. He's been racing everyone lately and he recently beat a Ferrari 360, among others.

There's a few in the 13's, and there's a lot in low to mid 14's. I've run my personal best of 14.5 with CAI and headers on street tires in shitty weather. I'm hoping to break into 13's with new tires next season, then going forced induction.

Check out Acura-TL.com.

why would your brother trade a car for essentially the exact same car? the differnce is just 2 doors vs 4. ...

Sorry its a 2002. He got the TL-S because he went to mexico with hid girlfriend and the first day there, someone ran him off the road in his CL and totalled it. His CL-S was awesome and very quick but he wanted a 4-door because it has more room. Hes on the road every week for gis job and wanted to stay with the typs-s, just in the 4 door!

This TL-S is modded pretty nicely, and has alot of potential I think.

I am interested in a boosted 3.5 like this guy did.

I managed to run 14.17 @ 98.5 MPH, with a 2.17 60ft ..

this was with comptech headers, comptech exhaust, and comptech icebox CAI. also with comptech springs, tokico shocks, comptech sways, pirelli pzero rosso 235\40\18's and lightweight 5zigen super six's.

now I have a tuned unichip, Mugen low temp t-stat rad cap and fan swithc, and a lightweight unorthodox racing crank pulley waiting to go on .. hoping to be the first CLS to hit 13's on a naturally aspirated automatic CL.

if you go to http://www.acura-cl.com, you will find a few very fast CL's .. guy by the name of mattg is running custom unichip\nitrous setup and ran a best of 13.2 on spray, over 300hp to the wheels with spray if I do recall. Scalbert runs an 03 6spd with comptech supercharger, with a greddy emanage for tuning and a plug and play harness he made himself. But that wasnt enough for him, so he made an air to water intercooler by himself as well. With all tuning done by him he was able to hit 369 HP to the wheels and 274 torque. Then there is allmotor_2000 who designed and built a custom GT35R turbo setup for himself and a friend on their 03 CLS 6spds .. he recently dynoe'd 419 HP to the wheels, and I think in the area of about 360ft\lbs of torque, and that was on low boost...

there are few fast ones .. but they are out there high 13's to mid 13's are not uncommon for 6spd's with minor bolt ons and low 14's seem to be the norm for the auto's with same bolt ons. headers take the cake for the best performance mod .. roughly 30 HP to the wheels in VTEC

Interesting. Are you on http://www.v6p.net??? The AEM pullies were a though. I heard they were bad but how are you not having problems. And 3" exhaust holy cow man thats a lot of torque you must be losing when not on the bottle. Lastly, care to elab. on the custom cam gears???
