Default Having Gas Problems with 95 GSR

Alright here it goes, I've been noticing REALLY shitty gas mileage lately something around a little less than 200 miles per full tank. Well yesterday my gas gauge read empty at at around 170 so I decided to fill er up again. When I did it only let me fill up too 8 gallons even though as we all know the integra has a 13 gallon tank. I didn't fill it up till the gas started pouring out but I was using a CC so it should only stop when the tank is full right?

What my question here is wtf is going on. Is it just that my fuel guage is completely off? I mean if it only let me fill up 8 gallons that means the car still had 5 gallons in it right? Or is that something might be clogging my fuel? Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

might be the fuel sender....... not sure exactly what the setup is but it might not be reading your capacity correctly......

Sounds like gauge is broken.
Maybe a pressure problem but that would require ALOT of back pressure to stop a gas pump.

hey, I wouldn't be mad at all if I got 200 mpg

I'd start with a basic tune up, fuel filter change, resetting the ecu, and getting rid of the lead foot.

Dang, I only get 200 miles per tank, and fill with about 10 gallons. 2000 gsr. I just figured that was correct mileage for it. My mileage is also rather independant of rpm. I kept it under 3.2k for one tank, 21 mpg, over 3k all the time next tank 20 mpg.

you solved your own problem bro, if you only put 8 gallons in and got 170 miles out of it Id say your doing alright, not great, but its a 95 like mine and 21-22mpg sound about right. Its the gauge, pops had the same problem on one of his cars, and I had one that stuck at half full when the tank dropped below half and worked on the other side of half, not sure what you are looking at to fix it but for me keeping an eye on the trip suited me fine.
Hey all from the new guy
