Default loss of power when car is in gear (not on throttle)

Hard to explain -
While driving and the car is in gear. When I take my foot off the gas the car seems to slow more condsiderably than normal. So, when I press the clutch pedal in the car becomes more smooth.
Also, the changing of gears seems to be not as fluid as before. It it now more mechanincal and resistant.
Lastly, while sitting in neutral and running the shifter through the gears it seems to be more resistant with a slight metal on metal grinding.

What does all of this mean?

Tranny has about 130,000 miles with redline synthetic oil for the past 25,000 miles.

So in neutral it seems like it has drag?

In neutral (or while the clutch pedal is in) the car rolls as normal or with no drag. With the clutch pedal out and the car in gear the car rolls with more resistance or drag than in the past.

Have you checked tire pressure for slowing down, or possible anything along the drivetrain. With it becoming more mechanical, have you factored in the age of the equipment? Your transmission could be taking a dive on you.

The harsh feel of the shifter when running through the gears and the sound of possible metal on metal are my biggest concerns.
