I recently had a mechanic friend of mine tell me that i should get rid of my chipped out p28 ecu and replace it with a chipped out p72 ecu. He said that the p72 is designed to also run the secondary butterflies in the intake manifold that both the Integra GSR and H22 share where as the p28 was not designed to do so. He said that if i got the p72 ecu i would notice a lot of hp increase when vtec kicks in. Is this all true?

 

no u will not feel a difference ur butterfly is already open when u full throttle

but u would notic a difference on part throttle daily driving

 

why dont you modify the p28 ecu to operate the iab ive done it pleny of times,

 

it would make a difference, since your midrange is suffering because of having the sec. open all the time

 

So it probly wouldnt be a bad idea to buy a chipped out p72 ecu then.
