Default Here Comes The Annoying Newb Questions...SORRY!

hey guys, as some of you may know. i'm very new to the whole car ordeal. picking up things here and there around honda-tech day by day. i'm still a student with a part time job and i'm wondering what i should do with my 91 RS. for a while i been thinking about just upgrading slowly with bolt on's etc. then i started thinking about ls/vtec or a engine swap and then finally turbo. i'm still running on a stock b18a1 engine. not sure where or what i should invest my money into. budget is pretty low but its growing as i work. any feedback should be nice on what i should do. i'm a little bit paranoid about posting this thread for i fear someone will say "do the search button" . any help would be nice thanks!

ha. what are your goals for your car? what is mileage?

if you are going turbo, forget investing your money in bolt-ons.

I use to have a 90 LS. That thing in my opinon was a POS. I rushed into buying it so I didn't look things over. About the motor, you can swap basically anything in there. The engine bay on the g2 is smaller than the g3. Room is very crucial. Since you're on budget, go with LS/V. It's been cheap for me so far. Ever think about a b17?

Also, for cosmetic dress ups. I would recommend the more aggressive better looking 92-93 bumpers.

you'd find alot of help at http://www.g2ic.com. since you're pretty new to the car scene, i'd just drop your car with a nice suspension set up, then put on some nice wheels to start off with. then go from there.

wow, g2's r way better than g3's in my opinion, jaydeeeem... other than that, i would figure out what your goals are, autox, drag, or daily driven but fast... for really good articles and write ups on this i would join team-integra.net, i have been a member for over a year now, and it is the best website available for integras, u wont regret it...

right now im not really focusing on cosmetics. my car is pretty clean and i don't plan to lower it or anything atm. i guess my goals would be a daily driven but fast and fun to drive car . the mileage on my car is 149k . yea i know its pretty high. the car was a hand me down from my sister. her bf (now husband) bought her a gt mustang, and then some volvo and now an x5. the car has been sitting in front my of house for 5 years, never driven . and she bought it from ricers who put on a kit (pretty clean not riced) and a GS-R emblem that ripped her off! ahh the horrors T.T maybe i should just save the money i plan to invest in it and save for a newer car? but damn driving the integ is sure fun! in your guys opinion, what should i do? and what car would be fun to buy and work on? i was thinking of either a real GS-R, or a hatchback to mess around with. the possibilities! X_X

basically since you are pretty new
your investments should be on books
and learning cause once you start on NA you cant go
back to the darkside without spending lots of $$$$
so learn first about the car and how it works then decide....
