H22 swap into a 91 crx----already searched...
well i wanna put a h22 in my crx and ive searched on H-T and some other places and it doesnt sound ALL that hard...i kno a guy who could swap it for me...but i was talking to a guy with a eg hatch w/h22 and he was telling me i need to get a whole new custom front end because the h22 is to big and the firewall will get in the way is this true or will it fit in without any front end mods??
H22 is soooooo nice but he bottom line is that it is just a BIATCH to do in a EF.
I talked to 1618822online and asked him about all the work to be done and he said that on the EF hatch that they put the H22 in they used the PLACE RACING weld in kit and also said it cost alot do to labor and parts.
They also said that for hte price of putting one into an EF u can have an 11-sec B-Series.
THey mainly built it for the OHHHHHHHHHHH's and AHHHHHHHHHH's when the hood is popped.
The beautiful thing about that is they said that they can run away from just about everything and Z06 Corvette's are a joke!
Hahahhaha
thats the best part right there!
And a Z06 is a fast ****** car already 12-sec car stock.
Just some input from them and thought i would share this.

I've got an h22 in a CRX. I didn't actually do the swap, but i picked the car up DIRT cheap.(Hows $900 bucks sound for a h22 rex?) So all the hard work was done. You dont have to replace the whole front end, mine has a place racing front crossmember that gives it plenty of clearance. The headlight bracket is trimmed a bit so the alternator will fit, the mounts are fabricated and the passenger side frame rail is c-notched to fit the tranny. the car is a daily driver, im actually temporarily delivering pizzas with it now. The only problem I have encountered with the swap so far is the motor sits a little to far forward and the wheels sit far back so the axles are really in a bind. Im gonna try to shorten my torsion bars about 3 inches to bring the wheel farther forward and that will make the axles perfectly straight. As of now the back of the tire almost rubs the fender.

I can vouche for this car. He picked up this thing for almost nothing, but the thing is sick. It's a lot of work for the motor to go in an EF chassis, but the end result is amazing.
And Vinnie, I'm still waiting for you to get those axles fixed, so you can run that thing at Mason Dixon soon. I'm dieing to see what that thing runs.

It may whip up on it, but this is a STOCK h22 we're talking about. Nothing internal has been done to it. It's got a CAI and full exhaust. Wait until he gets these axles fixed to see what kind of numbers he puts out with it.

I have a EF H22 with a B series tranny on it and no one here can tell me a Turboed SOHC can beat my car. You must be running in the mid to low 12's with that car then.
I've already beat a couple boosted single cams, yeah they're great for the money but nowhere near as fast as my car, and my motor is still STOCK.

maybe its a scam and they dont sell parts just they have a ******* huge warehouse of catalogues!!! I shall start fabbing up my own mounts.... if your reading this place motorsport, you just lost a customer due to your wierd marketing ways
I am using short d-series axles with h-series inner splines. this isn't hard to do and it seems to work fine. Although mine aren't to straight and when i got the car, one of them didn't have any grease in it and with no warning it seized up at about 110 m.p.h. and sent me through the median and into oncoming traffic. im gonna get some aftermarket ones that can take the stress of being on a slight angle all the time.
