I was thinking about putting an h22 in my crx. I know it will take alot of work, but will it pay off putting that in my crx. Or should i go with like a b18c5. Any info would be nie. I really am building this car for autocross and don't know what to swap in it.

I would read the Auto-X rules and build from there. Also I would do a bit of searching IMO I would do a B-series build. H22 is not the greatest motor to put in CRX platform for Auto-x.

There are a few people now starting to run the H22 EF on road course and are having good success check out some of the vids on you tube... after all the H only weighs 35 lbs more to be exact then a GSR EF swap...

I would be more concern about engine weight distribution and as I can show our EF H22 kit shoves the engine further back then even a GSR EF swap...

Autocross the car with the stock motor.
Putting an H22 in is just going to put you in the same class with the purpose-built auto-x cars.

if your going to autocross then i dont think an h22 would be as good as a b18 because the h22 is rediciously heavier.

Yup. Focus on the suspension, chassis, and brakes. They will improve your times in autocross more than an engine swap.

i would do a built zc if i were you. cheap, and size and cost-efficient. h22 is a beast of a motor. anything that gigantic in such a tiny car is going to throw off your handling hardcore. remember, autocross is more a display of driver skill and handling than pure power (though it doesn't hurt to have a bit extra).

I just bought my H22 the other day. It is pretty big for sure, but not too heavy.

When you get the motor and compare it to the D, is when you really see how much work it will be to get the thing in the car. It is a pretty big job.
