Default diy TIG

Apologies if this is a re-post.

I found this link in a fabrication/welding forum. This guy made a tig welder using a Ford alternator, an electric motor, and a dimmer switch -- all misc. parts he had laying around. I don't know that I'd try it, but it makes for interesting reading.
