Default Who has stored their ludes for long periods of time? I mean LONG PERIODS!

Okay, this post is basically so I can just see my car on the net and share my setup with you guys! haha, I'm in Korea for year and there's potential that I may be in Austrailia for a year after that so I will be away from my car for longer. But to make this question somewhat on topic, what else should have I done to my car to prepare it for long term storage. I have disconnected the battery, put it on blocks, covered tailpipes, intake pipes and put in that fuel stabalizer ****. My car is in the backyard covered with a car cover and a couple of tarps. Did I forget anything?

And just so I can have some sort of communication with my baby, here's some pics and my setup:
t3/t04e turbo stage 3 wheel .63 exhaust housing .50 compressor.
2.5" downpipe and exhaust
deltagate wastegate
logstyle manny
uberdata
450 dsm injectors,
mac truck intercooler
aem intake with hks flange
hks "style" bov (haha, works well though)
a **** load of autometer gauges
two slim fans mounted as pusher fans

The joys of driving in the countryside!!

And here's a clean pic of my car:

haha, just for nostalgia's sake, here's my very first setup almost 3 years ago!!

Man I miss driving! Taking the bus sucks ***!!

you might as well drain the fuel tank. Fuel stabilizer doesn't last that long.

Wow... nice bug collection. Too bad that is the only pic that came out. Did you clean it before covering it all up (shampoo and everything)? Oil stabilizer will be good too. If you are anywhere near the next radi flush period, it would be a good idea too. I would just take the battery out completely. Hope you live in a good neighborhood.

dont drain the fuel tank, fill it to the very top. If you drain it, moisture can get it and cause your tank to rust, very bad. Fuel stabil is fine. Also maybe an oil change before and after. They have all sorts of chemicals and what not you can add to your fluids to help with being away. If at all possible, you should have a buddy drive it once a week around the block or something. let it come to full operating temp, cruse the block then park it.

Yeah, I agree with 98TypeSH about filling the gas tank up; also about driving the car around at least once a week. Because if you let that car sit all that time without anything moving on it, when you get back, more than likely you'll have to replace a lot of hoses, among other things. Besides, driving it will keep the fluids going and seals good. I don't know about driving it up to operating temp, though.

I know you love your car and such, but if you are going to put it in storage for a couple of years, i suggest simply to sell it.

What will happen is that the underside of your car will rust and seals, gaskets, etc. will dry out.
