Default 95 gsr overheating

i have a 1995 gsr with a fluidyne full size radiator.

3 or 4 times now ive noticed the car almost ready to overheat when im sitting ideling. i never ever hear the fan come on. when i turn the ac on the fan works so i know the fan aint broken.

i changed the thremostat/hoses when i installed the fluidyne about 5 months ago.

im thinking my thermo switch is fubard? maby the thermostat died already?

maybe you have an air bubble in your water jacket...get a vacume setup and pull the bubble out....i had it in my teg onetime when i change the water and the air bubble stays in the block and gets hott and when you start driving it moves around...good luck let me know if it works

there is a switch for ur fans to turn on i forgot the techical name of it but if u go to an auto shop they will hav the switch i had that problem wit my DA i still kinda do but it doesnt overheat goes to about 70-80% then comes back down so i guess it isnt too bad ( gets better when u turn on the ac ... also better now cuse of the weather aint fucken a 90-100) its a sensor for ur fans ... check this ... turn on ur car leave ur car in neutral or park open the hood when it start overheatin check if both fans r comin on u will be able to feel them if u dont feel the 2nd 1 comin on it is the sensor .. just replace it and ur set( mine was located on the engine about 3-4 inches below the vavle cover, i think )

I say listen to all of them... but the biggest thing to do now, is to take it to a machanic, and get your car checked, don't recommend you doing it yourself, doesn't matter if the car didn't go to the red overheating, you possibly might also have blown your head gasket so go get the checked, i just blew mine, and my car never overheated, just like yours it only got close, so make sure to have a license person run tests on your engine, to make sure your engine is ok from your fans not turning on, i was in the same situation and blew my gasket and now im paying 1600 ..

This sounds weird, but it happened to me, so you can check it out. The silicon hose pickup in my coolant overflow tank snapped off once, and I didn't even notice. It gets turned so much, that if it's old, it can break. Check that out. If it's bad, a replacement is like, $9 at your local Acura dealership
