Default Overheating Problem

I have a 89 CRX DX with mpfi on the stock d15b, with Si distributor and IM. So here is the problem, when im driving the temp just sits at half way all the time. So I changed the thermostat, radiator cap, bought a brand new radiator, ran the fan direct, did a compression test and had good compression all the way across, checked the timing, blead the water to make sure than wasn't any air bubbles and the car still runs hot. After im driving for a while the temperature will start to rise pretty high. So I usually turn the heater on to make it go back down. Can anybody give me any suggestions?

from what you are saying something dosent add up. if you have a new raidator and direct driven fan. no air in the system and good coolent you car shouldent overheat. first thing is to validate that you are indeed over heating. i would suggest the use of a lazer heat guage that most radiator shops have if it is over heating run the engine with the cap off the radiator, and wait the coolant should circulate pretty fast once the thermostat opens. if not then you have water pump problems my friend. those are the only things i can think of in this situation, also take another compression test. because if you have been overheating recently youy could have warped the cylinder head.

This does not make sense. Are you sure that coolant is actually flowing through your engine block???

take your thermostat out, see if that helps, do a flush, with some of the prestone stuff, good stuff, try the leakdown again, have you messed with the headgasket at all
