Default How much power can stock ls internals hold?

Searched, and couldn't find, spo thought I'd ask--About how much power can stock internals hold reliably on a B18B engine?

More accuratley ot the point: how likely am I going to be able to run 300whp on stock ls internals?

if boosting, stock internals won't hold much past 7-8 pounds with fuel tuning

not really..
there's plenty of people on this board pushing more then 8 psi on stock b18b . fuel tuning is the most important factor. So long as theres no detonation and very good fuel tuning , you will find that the stock b18b block could hold over 300 whp easily.

Like UNIT said many people on here have ~300hp stock ls. Tuning is important in your setups reliability. Just look around....here's a recent one from the FI section https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=988918.

ls engines have weak rod studs, so watch out for that. they are the ones that hold the rod to the crank

yes tuning is key to making power...and a LS can hold 10psi daily. i've done so with 2 motors and my buddies all do it while building their spare motors. we've even pushed a stock LS motor to 15 psi (turbonetics bb turbo .63/.60 57trim)at the tracks and was able to drive the sucker home after running consistent mid 12's. of course not too long after the rings were gone...LOL.

and another thing...you really can't compare psi when boosting. unless all motors being compared are using the same sized turbo, 10 psi on a t3 .48/.42 is totally different from a t3/to4e .63/.60.
