Complete Transmission Swap. Any Good Links? Guides?
Apparently my throwout bearing took a **** on friday night. I already knew my clutch was slipping, so instead of overhauling my tranny that grinds in reverse, I opted to buy al already built tranny from someone local.
Has an act clutch and a fidanza 9lb tranny, new release bearing and everything.
Only $350
Im completely new really to doing any of my own work. So does anyone have a good guide for completely removing the tranny in your driveway without power tools or a jack lift
The part Im going to have no clue about is the axles
If anyone could provide me a link or even type something out with pics on axle help I would hugely be appreciative

ok, i am a honda builder in nyc and have done alot of trannys, i can do a motorand tranny swap in 3 hours. i would suggest a professional with the proper lift and equipment but if you must do it yourself then so be it heres how i do it.
1.disconnect and remove the battery. remove the cable from the shift fork, and the cable from the speedometer sensor.
2.place the car on jack stands and chock the wheels.
3.remove the wheels.
4.remove the bolt connecting the shock to the lower control arms, its a 17mm bolt and nut.
5.remove the center nut of the axle should be a 32 mm.
6.drain the transmission of fluid by removing the plug on the bottom its a 3'8'' ratchet plug.
7.using a screw driver a large screw driver pop the passanger side axle from the transmission. and the drivers side from the half shaft.
8. the half shaft is connected to the engine block by 3 14mm bolts.
9. the starter is connected on top by 2 14 mm bolts one is kinda trickey to get at and i normally only put one back in the instillation stage.
10. the transmission is connected to the engine by 4 or 5 17 mm bolts around the bell housing.
11. remove the bolts on the passenger side mount 3 bolts on the tranny and one going through the mount.
12.theres one mount on the fron side by the radiator. and another ""L"" shapped mount in the back by the half shaft. at this the tranny should be able to come out . just be careful they dont seem liek they weigh alot but on ur back with one on ur chest they can get to be a bitch.
i hope this helped you a little but if you have any more questions let me know email me at autounderground@aol.com

The only part of the transmission removal process that you can "**** up" would be the lower ball joint removal.
From what other posts have suggested, a generic ball joint remover tends to destroy the rubber boot on the lbj, others suggest visting a local Honda dealer and buying their ball joint remover, you could also attempt to use some leverage to pop it off, still others(like me) suggest using a BFH and banging it against the ball joint, it'll pop right off.
If your going to use a hammer, when you remove the castle nut on the lower ball joint, screw it back on about 2-4 twists with your hand, this will help to ensure that if you miss your target, you don't strip the threads.

remove the ball joint nut and smack the LCA near where it connects to the knuckle with a hammer. Take 2 or 3 good wacks and the ball joint should loosen up! THats how we do it at Honda
remove the lower shock fork bolt, remove the 32mm nut, slide the axle out of the hub, and then pry the axle out of the tranny with a pry bar

Ill climb under my car tomorrow and snap a few pics and you can see do what with what....

You don't understand the pics too well, do you?
That's removing the lower shock bolt, check the sections first before you criticize.
