Group5 would prolly be the best...but the most expensive.
Total Performance in San Marcos would be a good bet too.

Powerhouse shut down a few months ago. They were only a mile away from my house too. Damn it that sucks.

A couple people from Powerhouse started another shop out in San Marcos.
Next Level performance. It's ok...

group 5 is my recommendation. don't know if they'll do it but, you can try AEBS as well. only thing is, they mainly focus on fabrication of products and dyno tuning. and if you're doing the auto to manual conversion, be ready to spend a lot of money for that conversion.

I was out there about a year ago and I know aebs used to do the installs for group5. You can also look into pann if they are still around I know they had a shop in national city.

AEBS doesn't do installs for group 5 anymore. group 5 have their own tech now. imo, pann (in clairemont) sucks ***. haven't been to the one in national city. poor customer service and poor quality of labor.

If you're looking to get a swap done, I have a friend that would probably do it for like, 300-400 less than what a shop would do.

Plus you'd be able to hang out and watch..something that a normal shop wouldn't allow..

But the thing is, he's a little far. Like, an hour away from SD...

I would never go there for anything other than parts.
