Default Window Motor Problems

Alright i was drivin around last nite with my windows down like i usually do. I get back to my house and go to put up my windows and only the driver side goes up. The passenger side doesnt make a sound. Well i cover teh window for the nite and take it in to the garage where i work this morning to do some tests. Turns out the fuse is fine, the switch is fine, the motor is fine (well using a jump pack we got the window up finally), and teh connections are all legit. So the only other thing we could think of was that there was a problem with teh grounding inside the motor. Question is: has anyone else had similar problems with their windows like mine and if so, wat did u do to fix it (aside from goin ahead and buying a new window motor)?

just a side piece of info - ever since i got the car the driver side has gone up nearly twice as fast as the passenger.

Thanks for all ure help.

I've been having the same problem. What I've done is pop off the door panel and using some machine oil lubricate all the rails but I've still got problems on the passenger side due to the outer rubber seal being sticky.

I've had the motor stall before - the window doesn't move and there's no sound.

So you had the same problem i did and all you had to do was grease the rails. Hmmmm maybe i was wrong. Ill try it out cuz thats gonna be way easier than takin teh motor out and tryin to rebuild it. The biggest thing that bothers me is we checked voltage, amperage, hookups, the switch, the wires goin to the switch, the wires going to the motor (all with the ground tester and multitester). All checked out fine. But the window still goes up and down wen attached to a jump pack. But ill try greasing the rails tomorrow. Any recommendations for greases i can get at autozone or pep boys? (not workin tomorrow so cant bum off the garage)

I followed the article from Team-Integra.net - Improving Power Window Travel. You'll have to sign up if you haven't got an account there.

It fixed my driver side window nicely. The passenger side works a lot better but it catches on the rubber seal and sticks to it - especially when it gets cold. I think this is due to some residue left behind from a rubber protectant I was recommended. I could see the window getting caught and tilting forward before sliding down.
