1/4 - 15.395
mph - 90.21

here comes the fun part - Apparently my alternator belt snapped a day or two ago, and I've been running on my battery. I didnt know, so i get to the track, run 5 times, park the car and shut it off, and it wont turn on. i look at the alternator, and theres no belt. Im like, huhhhhhhhh.....*long silence*, takes me a while to realize whats going on, call up big bro who failed to run, and he supplies me with a new belt, tools, and jumper cables, and in return he gets a free ticket in to watch, as the people felt bad for me and let him in for free. so we fix the car, and i get back in line. The battery took a long time to charge, so i left it idle a while, only thing is, now when i put it in 1st gear, it feels like its not in all the way, and the car will just rev instead of going, i have to play with it a lil to actually go, is this a synchro? or could it just be the trannny oil? im kinda pissed about it, but at the same time, i just ran a 15.3 with a stock dx motor...

alrriiiiite, i get where your going with that, its not a STOCK motor, but for the most part, its pretty stock. I've seen guys with b16 swaps, zc swaps, ls swaps, running the same times. so its basically an A6, besides the 1.5l block. which is still awesome.

bullshit, 1st has a synchro... hence the pause and no grind when shifting into first while moving. most likely you broke a finger off the shift fork, or the sychro went out. both are common and would cause a nasty effort to place into first

but goddamn, 90mph for a stock motor?? thats just amazing!

ur telling me... I read 90 mph, and im like, wait a second, and check to make sure it was my car,

and about my 60 ft time, jeez its tough, im rolling on azenis with 20lbs, and i was either boggin or spinning, no in between. but yea, 90mph was my average trap speed.

i dont know what else to do with my motor, tonite im having a friend make me a test pipe for my cat, so that should help a bit, but other than that, im not gonna buy any parts for that motor, cause i have a y8 in the garage...

well as we all know mpfi compared to dual point is like night and day.
the si cam is a lil wilder than the dx cam.
and i threw the y8 manifold on his car. its alot bigger and flows the best out of the d series oem intake manifolds.

yes, the SI cam is the best SOHC non vtec cam..... its hardly 'wild'

and the y8 has a larger plenum and fatter shorter runners which flows MUCH better.

good times on that DX man..... pretty damn impressive, what does the car weigh?
