Default TONS of seat swap info, but not what I need!

I have searched all the recent and archived material and have found no answer yet. I want 91 si hb seats in my car and yes I know that they dont bolt up. The only thing that got my attention is the fact the someone stated that you can do a seat pan swap. Is this possible, has anyone done and have a write up or can help me with some info? I currently have 89 si hb front seats, but the foam and covers are horrible. They'll be mounted in an 89 si hb as stated. Wish honda would have made this an easy bolt on affair just like the rears! I PREFFER NOT to make custom rails if not necessary!

Do you know if the back part bolts up to the seat pan? The back of the 91 seats and the 89 seat pan that is. What abouth the incline adjusters, are they interchangeable? I dont want the seat buckles on my seats, are they easy to unbolt off and keep them off.

I did the opposite of what you are doing. I put '89 Si HB seats in my '91 HB. I had a thread explaing what I did. I will try to find it.

its very easy to swap seat pans... even a 10 year old can do it... just need pliers, zip ties, sockets and ratchet and an hour to do it...
