Seat ?? (not your average question)
I have been searching now for about 2.5 hrs, carefully selecting a different choice of words, searching recent and archived and I haven't found anything that helps my problem.
I have a '91 Std Hatch and I just got a deal on some Si seats, but the seats are from an 88/89 Si. I need to know if putting my rails and $hit on these seats will work. If so, the big question is, How would I go about getting the seatbelt part onto the seat.
Also if possible can someone please post pictures of the bottom of Si seats for all years (88/89 & 90/91) and pics of their install or IM me with more info. Help a sister out please.
HOLLA!

HOLLA!
the 88-89 seats use a weird style of bolt pattern to mount the seats. im sure it will work with some modifying. Since alot of 90-91 owners have the jdm seats which are exactly the same style as the 88-89 bolt style.
i have 89 Si seats into my 90 STD
88-89 rails are diff from 90-91
in order to make them work (after 4 days of frustation)
i used the pass side on the driver and viceversa
i had then to use the rails from my car..
the outer rail will work, now the inner rail will have to be ghetto rigged..
what i did, i use 1/4 in steel plates... i made a 2" x 4" and made wholes... bolted the metal to the rail and then drilled them and bolted them to the pan of the seats....
u need to take pans off the seats to calculate, drilled etc. etc
it will take u about 1.5 hrs ea seat
heres an idea of how i did them for the CRX HF seats i had
i used the same method on the Si ones.....

use the right rails for ea side, just use pass seat on driver side etc

Thanks everyone, but I finally got the seats put in today. I swapped out the seat pans. Then I reversed the seats (drivers on pass side and vice verse). I didn't have make any brackets or nothing. I will have pics tommorow.
In my case I had 88/89 Civic Si seats going into a '91 Civic Std.
*Took the seat apart (2 halves top seat bottom seat
*I took the rails off my STD seats.
*Took some hog pliers and removed the clips holding the fabric onto the seat.
*pulled the fabric back (not off)
*pull the cushions away from the seat pan
**Did the same thing for the Si seats**
Then,
I took the Si seat cushions and put them onto my '91 Civic Seat pans. I noticed that most of the Honda seat pans are the same, but mount in a different spot. So I just used my seat pans.
I got part of my idea from a guy on HT that put s2000 seats in his civic by swapping the seat pans. Then Usdm 4g vtec did something similar. I put 2 and 2 together and Voila!!
I am so happy though. Those vinyl seats nearly cut me up. It took me about 1.5 hrs on one seat. Then, when I figured out how easy it was, the second seat took me about 30 minutes.
HOLLA if you have questions about how I did this.
I went to the junk yard got 2 seats from a 94 prelude for $45 took them home steam cleaned them made adapters for them to fit to the regular monting holes that where there a nd put them in my 89 hatch. Turned out real nice. I will give you some pics if you want them. let me know

mines a 88, and it's got 90-91 si seats in it.
inner rail bolts up fine, but outer rail was too wide, so I drilled thru the floor
added 1/4" steel 2x2.5" backing plates bolt and nut w/locknut thing and voila.
Dang, I could've taken my bottom seat pan out and swapped it?
issed: at myself for being a noob when i did this.
