Default Please help me with this is my first crx!

the top hose, it kinda broke a little and now when we drive the car it squirts out radiator fluid, and it smokes a little, because I did a little half a$$ job on it with electrical tape and this non-flammable glue. LOL Yeah, this is just 4 now, so please don't rag. Anyway, what other problems could this cause??? Because it keeps squirting a little at the bottom still? can we still drive it, he just drives it 2 work and 2 home, it's like 4 miles away, so about 7 to 8 miles 4 5 days a week, until Sept.30, when I get payed we get new one. So will it be ok with no other probs if we continue doing this until then???

Thanks and any suggestion r helpfull!

the upper radiator hose is like 15-20 dollars tops. i just replaced both of mine (upper and lower and radiator). mine was ok for a few days while leaking but then i couldn't take it over 2000 in any gear without the temp shooting through the roof. just borrow the money and stick a new one on. and get the clamps that you can screw in, those ones that the stock honda has are a pain.

Ummmmmm.. no it's not OK. The pressure will continue to rip the hose... thus leaving you overheated somewhere you don't want to be left, and possibly ruining an engine when you could have gone to any autoparts store and replaced the hose for 10 bucks? You'll be kicking yourself in the *** then!

I learned to replace things right away the hard way... Trust me it'll save you money later.

What other problem will it cause?

It will probably run hot..If the radiator does not hold pressure,
the coolant has a lower boiling point than it normally would..
water/coolant under pressure has a much higher boiling point.

You might also run the risk of warping the head/blowing the head gasket.

Man I hate people who always think their problems are bigger than anyone else's

The guy was just asking for help and you provided none. so to you sir.

ANYHOW..... Yes the problem will only get worse like stated earlier. Just borrow the money and fix it. You will save yourself a lot of headache if you take care of it now.
