Protecting/rerouting a/c lines for DRAG turbo kit
Hello, I have the kit listed above and ran it since '99. However, a year after my kit the a/c lines were destroyed with a combination of chafing against the compressor housing and upper i/c piping. I'd like to know if any of you guys had this problem and remedied it with some type of thermo-tec wrap. Since they're hard lines, has anyone replaced them with custom an lines with custom adaptors coming from the a/c compressor? I'm getting old and I'd like my GS-R to be more civil with the a/c. Although I am exploring the option of getting a different manifold (I'd like to stay with this one, hasn't let me down for four years) but if I can keep my current setup, it'd be nice.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Buy a hose that's high temp, cut the hose length wise and slip it over the a/c lines. Use worm clamps to hold 'em tight against the a/c lines.
