Default Camshafts for b17

What's the best camshafts for a b17 with bolt-ons? On a 500-600 dollar buget so for sure i'm going to have to get some used ones. What should I be looking for?

Depending on the motor set up, CTR/ITR would be a great. For alittle bit more Skunk2 Stage 1 or even the Buddy Club III. Yu might want to get some sort of VTEC - FUEL controler

Good Luck

get a ctr intake and itr exhaust because the ctr's are generally more expensive but the ctr intake cam is slightly more aggressive and the exhaust cams are the same

On a $500-$600 budget, about all you are going to get is CTR/ITR, Comp/ZEX, or Crane. CTR/ITR works. But gains are somewhat limited. On the other hand, Comp/ZEX and Crane are both unproven. Also, this cost does not take into account a spring upgrade, which will cost a couple of hundred dollars more.

Do you guys think it's worth it to buy ctr/itr or should I save up more to get something better? And if I do get something better how much do you think i'm looking at spending?

For your budjet you can do new buddyclub spec3+s or some used skunks.
Itr/ctr cams are have less lift and duration, but they're oem.

Buddy Club III would be good on that budget --- but the control will be the next upgrade to save up for.

don't skimp on valvetrain(springs+retainers) even if it means saving for the ctr/itr's, you can just run the itr valvetrain on most stage 1 cams like skunks, and it sounds like maybe on the buddy clubs but ive never really looked at em so someone is gonna have to back me up
