two jl audio subs = 1.5ohms???
i have two jl subs and when i'm looking at the jl audio tutorial page, it says that 2 jl subs wired in parallel = 1.5ohms. what amp runs at 1.5ohms?

geez........anything that says it will run at 1.5 ohms or less safely...
And you really need to say what series of sub you have and their actual voice coil configuration. Just because it's a "jl sub" doesn't mean that it's one certain load value...
Just in JL's previous subs they have made there has been 2 Ohm, 4, 6, 8, 12, D2, D3, D4, D6, and I think that some of the old discontinues were even available in Dual 8 Ohm....so you really need to know more about the actual subs that you have in your hands before you can have any clue. Just because it's one series of sub doesn't even matter in all but three cases (w6, w6v2, w7), because all the other series are available in multiple different configurations.

dont look for a power rating at 1.5ohms when you're looking at the specs. look for somethign that claims its 1ohm stable (or less).

cool...that's what i needed... i'm not sure what they are.. the only way to check is to take them out of the box. my gf's brother doesn't remember which ones they are. i was just guessing they're w6's because he has another box but the jl isn't attached to it, just sitting in it and they're w6.
