Holy F*ck, 490, 000?!? thats crazy. I have a 91 accord and swapped an h22 with 61k original miles on my f22, its still sitting in my garage.

Your money, your final goal, and your current engine's condition dictate what you should do.

H23 is good for boost, do you want boost?
F22 is really good for boost if it is in good condition.
H22 is okay for boost in comparison to the other two but great for N/A in comparison.

Do a lot of research and find out the advantages and disadvantages of each.

unless you want to make it fast... jdm dohc f22b. cheap motor. 160hp. basically an h23 but a weeeeeee bit smaller with sturdy F guts.

I'm pretty sure the oddyssey uses the J30 from the v6 accords...I may be mistaken though. It definitely wouldn't bolt up and even if you could get it to fit it would be more of a PITA than it would be worth.

actually the oddyssey used the f series I4... same as the accord. so it would be a pretty EASY and WORTHLESS swap. i believe the f22a6 is its engine of choice.

EDIT: accordinglydone.com says the 95-97's used the f22b6... but it doesnt say anything about newer ones...so who knows?

well i had the odassy engine in the car and gave it much power ...by the way its a 97 odassy engine ... 1 year later it blew a piston and i changed it to a 93 lx engine ....llost more power tho ... the car came with the 97 engine so i think they did it cause it moved more faster that the 91 engine....

what i need to know is a h22 better thana h23 ? witch is dohc ?? witch one is easy just to swap in ?

this is for my 2dr accord 1990 and i have 491,129 but still runs stong just want to change cause i think its about that time don't ya think ?

both are easy to swap in, both are dohc, h22 is dohc vtec, h23 is dohc non-vtec

get a JDM h22a, it has 200 HP and 161 TQ
an h23a(lets not get into the expensive h23a talk here please) only has about 160 hp and 157 or so TQ. the only part about the h22a that makes it harder to swap is adding 4 wires to be hooked up for vtec, which isnt hard at all. so get the h22a, unless you make no money and have none saved up, then you should just do no swap at all.

youre going to have to start using the search feature.

h22 or dohc f22b would be the only 2 i consider. on you can get for an average of 2000 the other for like 700...
