HCP mounts question
i have a 91 civic w/ a b16. i purchased the hcp mounts in dec and installed them in january. well 9 mths later, the engine is really loose. i press the gass on and off and the engine moves to the front and back a lot. not to the point of hitting my firewall but still moves. it was the 4 piece kit but i never put the front one in the passenger one is billet and the other ones are iron i guess, what can be wrong??? can bolts be loose? if i put the front one will it solve my problem? i dont wanna tear the ones i have there now and dont have the cash to drop more money on hasport. your help will greatly be apreciated. thanks

the front one isnt totally necessary, they dont even sell em with it anymore.
ive had it on and off, just made the car vibrate more.
make sure the timing belt side mount isnt stripped out. and make sure the rear is ok too.

Funny, but I have a similar issue. When I first did my B16 swap, there was no way that motor was moving. I got the HCP 3pc kit. I only made a small dent (maybe 1/4") for alternator clearance. Now, 2 months later, If I take a hard right turn, my alternator pulley rubs. Also, I can feel the shifter move front to back based on acceleration/deceleration. I haven't had a chance to check my mount bolts yet, but I will soon. Let me know what you find out.
i didnt install the front mount because the person who had the car before me grinded the mount support off. how do i know if the driver mount is stripped out? will check all my bolts and everything tomorrow

I dont know how much power you are making but if you install the front mount the way most people do you'll rip the entire mount off the crossmember. Since the mount is in a different location than on B series most people use one of the mount ears and cut the other one off. I'm switching to a home made crossmember so I can use the front mount the way it was meant to be.
Can you feel the engine jerk when you are on and off the gas?

ok si u got a front crossmember for 10 bucks, dod the holes like the instructions say, grinded some ear off so it wouldnt touch the motor and vibrate the hell out of me, and the car feels excellent. the engine does not move like before. very little or not if any. u have to say upgrade for the front mount which sat in my room for 9 mths. all people who have hcp and experience engine movement i recommend you get the front mount.
any questions on how it is done just pm me.
