Okay so I have a 99 gsr with about 195k miles. I already changed out the the lower mounts, and the rear mounts with OEM mounts with ES polyurethane inserts because they were torn.
My question is, how come I'm still getting as much engine movement as before? Would changing out the top two mounts solve my problem? Thanks.

yes that would help. i would have replaced them before those lower mounts. you have 3 main mounts and if you replaced 1 and you are still having the problem then its the other 2. you can look at the mounts and see if they are bad. just how much movement are we talking anyways?

Perhaps. I wouldn't get inserts though. I see them as a waste of money..
The engine movement is pretty bad. Especially in first and second. If I don't ease on or off the gas, it will begin to jerk.

Are you driving the car while looking at engine movement?? huh? I am guessing the car begins to jerk. I think you did already, but all of your mounts are replaced?
I replaced the bottom two, and the rear mount. I looked at the top mounts today, and they looked okay (as in I didnt see any cracks). Do they just go bad over time? I do have almost 200k on my car now.
