well too much oil could cause blue smole but form what i understand it is caused by oil buring. Does the smoke last a couple of seconds at start up or the whole time the engine is running? If it is only at start up chances are that you have an oil leak somehwere. Could be caused by a number of things, bad valve guides, worn out piston rings and the such, if it continues even when the car as been on for awhile then i would suggest trying to take some of the oil out and if that does not fix it, buy some oil additive to stop the smoke. Also what grade oil are you using because if it is synthetic it is alot thinner in consistancy than regular 30 or 40 weight oil. Hope this helps.

well if oyu have only seen it once then i would not really worry about it. the blue smoke is a definite sighn of oil burning though so if you see more of it i would be on the look out.
