Default PLEASE HELP ME! HEADLIGHT PROBLEM!

Hi. My cousin is out of town and I was borrowing his car for a little while and all of a sudden her headlights started blinking and then shut off altogether. I don't know what to do. I took it to my friends dad who took off the piece behind the steering wheel and there was a piece that a bunch of wires went into that looked melted. This car has those blue light thingies put in and one of those loud exhausts. So it must not be factory stuff. I was just wondering if someone (ANYONE) might know what the problem is that maybe my friends dad (who knows a lot about cars) might be able to fix. I feel like I broke my cousins car and feel really bad, but dont really want to spend a ton of money at a mechanic if it is something silly that isnt even my fault. Thanks for the help!

relax, its not a big big problem ,might be a fuse ? if that doesnt work then try looking to see if any one of the positive headlight wires are touching negatives.

Is it starting fine and everything else electrical working properly? I'd have to say it's a fuse. If you're having other electrical problems check out alternator possibly... but that would cause more catastrophic problems usually.
