alarm armed and now doesn't work. how can i fix this?
this has been happening like twice a month. I arm my car when i park it and when i come back later i can't unarm it. The most i can do is open the door with my key and let it ring, however i can't start my car when my alarm is armed. I also just recently had my alarm checked out they said they replaced some wires and it should be working fine, but it doesn't. any idea or suggestions, help?
By the way it is a clifford alarm.

doesn't have to be the install job. which clifford do you have? clifford is owned by DEI and ALL DEI alarms have a lifetime warranty so just take the car back to where you had it installed, have them take out the brain and send that and the transmitter to DEI. I have the new Viper 791 and the same thing happend to me and i installed it myself so i know the install was perfect. ended up having to swap it out for a new one and it worked fine. good thing i work at best buy

wow.. i'm glad to see someone else has this problem with their clifford. i have the responder and the exact same thing happens to me. no one around here knows what it could be.. but i think it only happens when the sensor in the car gets too hot. becuase if i leave my windows cracked it will usually always respond to the remote...

yea.. i had the responder on my windshield, but i moved it so my visor kinda covers it on the head liner.. then when it's hot out i let it hang down so it stays cool.. but its been rainy lately and kinda cooling off around here, and ive had no problems at all. i know it looks kinda ghetto having it hang there, but its better than sitting in your car with the loud *** alarm going off...

Okay its my time to chime in...
You guy sneeds to be taught how to overide your security systems in cases
like this or if you lose the transmitters. I see this all too often, customers not
being taught how to work their alarms. As for the transmitter problems ( In
addition to what FCM stated) are you near power lines/or aany cell towers/radio
transmitters? There is a FCC ruling that states that "devices must not create
interference but must accept any interference that can cause any unwanted
actions "...( Da Woooh ?) A lot of times we are near larger radio signals
that can screw up our transmitters. Sorry but this is just gonna happen. Thats
why its important that you know how to work your system.
