i think i am going to try to do the ls 5th gear swap on my b16 Y1 tranny. i was just wondering if i should also swap the final drive also? i worried because i think if i keep the 4.266 the my RPMs at 70 mph will be at 3200 and that were the engine is loud. i think if i swap the 4.4 from the Ls in then i will be at 3400 and the engine isn't as loud there? OR would i be better of just keeping the 4.266 in? im after comfort on a daily driver

 

any input?

the y1 tranny is perfect, dont change it unless your sporting a ricer n1 muffler, then it will always be loud
