Default High Heat Flexible Hose For Exhaust Needed. What can I use????

I have a project with my brother going, using a 350 chevy engine but for the exhaust we need to be able to flex the exhaust 90 degrees at times.

We need a hose that about 1 foot in length, 2.25" diamter that can take the heat from the exhaust pipes getting hot, wed clamp them with a few muffler clamps

Can rad hose take the beating? Which hose can?

Something cheap and easily found I hope

Thanks

try summitracing.com for 90 bends or use exhaust repair kit stuff. autozone etc carry up to 2.25 in kits

its not a permanent 90 degree bend, I need it to be hose because the exhaust is going to be moving from side to side constintely

Also, rad hose to me seems like it would work, flexible and takes high heat all day long

but could it stand up to exhaust heat and being strapped onto hot metal

What about a 90 degree bend and a piece of flex bellows?

Also, check out McMaster-Carr. Unfortunately, I can't link directly into the catalog but pages 178 and 179 have some flexible stainless tubing good for up to 1000 degrees.

Need it pretty quick

And also why would rad hose melt? It takes boiling hot coolant all day long

Even if I wrap gasket meterial around the 2 ends of the pipe first then clamp the rad hose onto that? leaving about 4 inch gap where there is no metal

Mind you this bend is about 6 feet after the actual headers and gutted cat and a resonator

Why exactly is it going to be moving side to side constantly?

coolant = 250 F
exhaust = 500 - 1000 F
those kind of temps will melt rubber in a matter of seconds
get that flexible exhaust repair kit, it will work perfectly

its not just the exhasut gas temp that has to be considered, its the temperature of the metal as well, i guarantee if you put a piece of rubber coolant hose up against a piece of your exhaust anywhere near the header, or the catalyst it will melt quickly.
