Default The Lysol Trick

Ok, Im attempting to rid my car of that funky smell that came when I recharged my A/C system in my 94 Si Coupe.
After some searching here I learned that the cause of the smell was a bacteria buildup and that there is a Lysol trick to kill the bacteria.

For the mildew smell coming from your vents, try spraying Lysol or some other disinfectant spray into your fresh air intake (should be below your windshield somewhere) while your fan is running with the A/C off... you can also try turning the heater on full blast and letting that run for a while - the mildew comes from moisture buildup from using your A/C. A good tip is to "air out" your vents by turning off the A/C a few minutes before you stop the car. I normally turn off my A/C and recirculate buttons when I get off the freeway.
I understand that you have to spray Lysol into an inlet while the car is running right?

my question is WHERE below the windshield is this inlet? Is it on the top of the dash?

Never heard of this, but you can always put it in where your blower motor goes to get it into the vents. Id be cautious about spraying lysol around anythign that shot air at my face though.

You can remove your blower motor under your dash with 3 screws/bolts on your passeneger side under the glovebox. Only catch is you can't blow anything with it out.

We do the same thing at the dealer.......

Open the hood. You see the Black plastic with holes? Just below the wipers, and just above the firewall?, that is where your blower motor sucks air in from outside.

Spray all up in there.

No Febreeze doesnt kill the bacteria / mildew on the evaporator as lysol does.. You need something that kills it both,

As far as putting it in. you have a recycle blend door behind your glove box. take the lysol can and spray it in there, Now when you do spray do alittle bit at a time and get ready for the car to stink up like lysol, I open all the doors and let it sit for a few hours
