94 Civic...Heater Core question...
So here is the deal i just purchased a 94 civic ex coupe and was testing everything out and it doesnt blow warm air. So is it the Heater core or what is it...If it is the heater core then were is it located and what should i expect to pay on one..

unless your car is full of coolant it probably isn't the heater core
I would check to make sure the switch is actually connected to the actuator arm (or in older cars its a lever assembly) behind the dash.
The heater core is a small radiator like device that sits inside the firewall behind the dash that coolant passes though. When you flip the switch for hot air a vent opens to push air across the front of the heater core and then into the vents. This is what creates the warm air... generally if there is no warm air blowing after the car warms up there probably is no airflow across the heater core (which is why i mentioned what i mentioned above)

Yeah, don't consider a bad heater core until you know coolant is topped off in the radiator, the cooling system is bled, and the coolant valve on the hose leading into the heater core is open.

um ok, check the valve that is on the hose that runs into the firewall to the heater core make sure it is opening and closing all the way. make sure coolant is bled. and i once pulled the hoses off the heater core and flushed it with a water hose, helped me but i don't know what others might say to it.

Thanks i will have to give that a try..i did some research and just came to the conclusion the heater core was the problem but i will look into it tmmrow...And the coolent is to the top..so it must be a line or th heater core wouldnt you think..?
