as the topic says are 97 civic headlights 9004s? i need to replace my hid but i cant remember what size they are

 

97 civics dont come with hids. the stock bulbs are 9003 or h4

 

i know they dont come with hids, i just need to replace an hid but dont know what size it is, h4 or what. its a sylvania replacement hid kit and the passenger light stopped working.

 

they are the "H4" type. there cheap about $5-10 a bulb go to wal mart

are you talking about real HIDs or those hyper white bulbs that are HID-like?

 

while we're on the topic, I'd like to ask a question as well. I run some cheap (but sexy) headlights. angel eye-style. Theyre not very bright. I run with my brights on during city driving just to make up for the shitty projection. Would it be wise to get brighter bulbs? I use 55W super-white **** bulbs from autozone. Is it more likely shitty bulbs or are the EG-style headlamps not that great simply because of positioning?
