Default Here's what I have... which clutch should I go for ?

I've run an ACT, Clutch Masters and a custom setup in the past on my other hondas... which were making much more power than I do now...

I have a gsr engine with some work to it... should be making around 180-190whp now and I plan to spray a small 50-80 shot in the future. My present ITR clutch setup is slipping after 1 year of use and abuse.

I drive normal for the most part with some highway pulls about once a day and race at a track about twice a month for the most....

This is my daily driver in some moderate traffic, so I don't want to go with a stage 4/5 type PP, etc.... I've looked at the exedy clutches (heard bad things) and the CM so far.... I'm on a tight budget, but MUST replace my clutch soon... what brands and 'stages' should I look at for all around performance and longjevity for the investment ?

Money is tight, so would anyone recommend a used PP and resurfaced stock disc ? I can do that for about half the price of a new package.

Im not sure what bad things youve heard about exedy...I love em. I would say just go with the regular organic disc they offer. Its cheap and it holds pretty nicely. If you want something a little bit more aggressive get the Cerametalic. Very nice clutch!

I prefer to stay w/ a sprung setup and full face clutch... I don't wanna deal w/ chatter in this car.

I've heard the exedy's basic street clutch are weak sauce and other people that used to be exedy men tend to shy away from them once they are making decent power... any other opinions on em ? Cuz they seem to be a less expensive setup than most.

Kteller8... why do you recommend the brand you did ?

Assuming that it is a '94-01 GSR try an ACT AI4-HDSS. It has the Heavy Duty pressure plate with the Street/Strip disc. Designed to handle all the power you throw at it, drive it everyday, and run it on the strip every w/e with relatively normal pedal pressure. I know the XT pressure plate tends to have a heavier pedal pressure. My girlfriends old Integra had an ACT XT 6-puck clutch in it and the pedal pressure was a pain in the butt for daily driving and I run a Clutchmasters Stage 5 in my car with less pedal pressure. I would also recommend a CM stage 3 set up. I have used them for years and have had no problems at all. Another one I've heard good things about recetly and the price is right are the Competition Clutches. My .02.
