How did your manifold get so nasty?

 

I didnt use the right paint and didnt realize till it was already on the car. its been on for 2 years..

My manifold was coated with the paint that they use on the compressor housings, but I dont know what kind of paint it is but it burned right off. But my manifold is 2 years also and it looks ok. I was wondering if any water got on it or something?

nope it was just a white primer. was supposed to be 1500 deg, but it didnt last without a top coat. i thought it was gloss white but it wasnt... what do u guys use to paint them? i had a manifold that I just sold for a 1.8 and it was jet hot coated silver and it looked lovely. dean

this is a D series manifold. Check out his sig, its on an 89 integra.

 

Here is my drag manifold..they are similar to the revhard...its mated to my d16z6 sohc vtec.

that's what i got liam821,thanks for the pic anyway,i see you got a tial wastegate on there,guess its bolt pattern is the same as a deltagate.

 

yep..the tial has the same bolt pattern as the deltagate. I also have f-max piping and a revhard downpipe..its a mutt kit

sa far as I know the same manifold will fit a SOHC. rev hard only makes one manifold for the 1.6 d series as far as I know. dean

The first one looks kinda odd, but I'm sure it's functional, that's what counts in the end right? Nobody cares what your manifold looks like when you're ahead of that domestic guy that always talks big!
