I just bought my s2k and i believe the problem/noise seems to be coming from the clutch...when i am driving its cool but when i leave it in gear and i let of the gas there is a rattling noise and when i put my foot on the clutch bearly pushing it in the pedal is vibrating with the rattling noise of my car....a few suggestions i got was the pilot bearing could be messed up...someone even said s2k's were recalled for that problems which doesnt seem to be true...any ideas?

 

Its called the clutch decel buzz, almost , well basically all of the earlier S2K's have this problem. It is fine , will not break or cause any physical damage, just makes a crappy noise.

Honda didnt design the clutch very good, to my understanding they made the springs in the pressure plate too weak so they rattle at certain rpms on decel.

Dont worry about it, it will not break because of this.

 

well is there any way i can get it fixed? maybe by putting in a new clutch? ohh also wut i just realized by checking my fluid...the clutch fluid is BLACK and very low..

 

I have the same issue.. no biggie, I'm waiting till my clutch wears out,

Then I'm going install a lightweight flywheel and a new clutch setup....

 

If u have an extended warranty you MIGHT be able to get it fixed, if not and the noise bothers u that much, get a new clutch setup and flywheel.

 

why change the flywheel though...should i not just get an oem clutch and thats it or is it important to change the flywheel?
