timing techniques
i have a 91 hatch with a b16a, on any other car when you set the timing you have to unplug a connector of some sort, now if i do have to unplug a connector which one, and what should i set the timing at for max performance
You don't unplug andything.
You need to fumble around under your dash and locate the little diagnostic plug.
You have to put a jumper (some wire or a paperclip) in that to disable the electronic ignition advace.
This is something the ECU does... not the motor.

what would happen if you drove your car with the electronic ignition advance disabled? ie/ if I left the jumper wires on and drove my car.
If you leave the jumper on the connector the CEL will stay lit. I left the jumper on the connector and it took a sec to figure out why the CEL was lit.
