I have a quick question. the 95 ls teg I used to have had a lever right by the gas door lever on the floor that popped my hatch for me and on my 98 gsr i have to unlock the hatch 1st then pull the handle underneith the hatch to open it up. There is a **** underneither the gas door lever, but i think it is inoperable because when I push or pull on the lever nothing happens I THINK . So my question is will I be able to use the carbon fiber hatch if i have to use the hatch handle on the oem hatch itself? Or am i out of luck

 

I'm not sure why you have a second lever on your '98, but either way, you should be able to open the hatch using the key.

 

But should there stil be some way to put the hatch from the cabin, seems odd to me.

 

the cord probly got unlached or somthing to that effect. maybe of snapped..

 

No, the '98+ Integra has no means of opening the hatch from inside the cabin.

 

this will not be cool, because now everytime my car is running i will be forced to turn the ignition off to open the hatch. A hatch release from inside the cabin should be an added feature.

no sense on complaining in here, if you want it that bad get one installed. or write a letter to honda

 

Well I just didnt under why they would only have the in cabin release from the year models 94-97.. why would I write honda now they dont even make the g3 integra anymore...? cant change the past

True, but remember you're installing what is basically a "racing" part, and some sacrifices need to be made. If you want an internal release, you'll have to wire up a new switch to activate the electronic latch.
