Power Cut off Switch ?
If any of you guys have seen the old 93?-95 Corvette ZR-1 did you notice that they have a power cut off switch from like 385 or 405 (depending on year of car)down to 200HP. How does the car go about cutting 200 HP from the engine like that? The guy said it was great to do if you wanted to give the car to a friend or a kid for a day, he could just turn that *** and the car wouldnt even be able to beat a V6 camaro. Any ideas how that works or if it would be possible to wire something up to an ITR in case you had to let someone borrow the car(say cut like 50-60HP), but wanted to make sure they werent stupid with it?

They did that by shutting down cylinders - a la the old V8-6-4 Cadillac engine from the 80's. It was considered a "valet" setting for the then "very powerful" ZR-1.
[rotten idea]That would be neat to help hustle someone at the local dragstrip. Give them a ride in your car with it on and make less horsepower. Then ask them to race but switch it back on.

you drive an integra, not a ferrari, if you are that insecure with somelse "having all that power" dont let them borrow it in the first place. there, problem solved
