The car is a 96 Accord. The arrows are pointing where the oil leak begins.

It's kinda hard to tell but maybe your valve cover gasket.

if it is infact your valve cover, yes. It's a very simple and straight forward thing to do.

edit:
here is a link that might help you if you decide to replace the valve cover gasket, if it doesn't just run a search in the archives for the Accord forum on "valve cover".

That looks more like the ledge behind the timing belt cover. If that is where the oil is gathering I would be more apt to say that its coming from the cam seal.

there was a recall for your car on the cam shaft seal, if thats not it then it probably will be in the future, if its coming from underneath the timing belt cover, then its def cam shaft seal

yes accordmurf is right. there is a recall, the balancershaft seal slips and oil comes gushing out. There is a part you can buy to fix this problem it is a very common problem it happened to my car. The recall is over but i'm sure if you didn't lose to much oil you can bring it to honda and have them do a oil change and but the peice on so that the balancershaft seal won't slip no more.

In that location, it's usually the cam seal; the balance shaft seal is lower in the engine.

why is it not hard to fix? Don't you have to remove timing belt or the cam itself? I'd say its a 3-5 hours job.

how many miles are on the car? if less 90k then check it out more to make sure that it is the cam seal. Cam seal doesn't usually leak below 90k.

Maybe i'm just a rookie at cars.

You remove the valve cover and upper timing cover, mark the cam gear and timing belt with paint, then, remove the gear/belt from the camshaft. I use a ratcheting pulley to hook the cam gear to a inner brace on the hood. It takes <30minutes.
