Default drag racer needs your guys help w/ front suspension(88-91)

I have a teg rear brake swap on my 89' hatch(mostly cause the bushings and components are newer). The front suspension has definately seen better days (320k on chassis) so, what are your sugggestions as for upgrading. I'd like to go w/ newer front suspension before I buy an energy master kit so, LMK what you guys have done and what fits. Thanks

Phil

damn, no need to be an ***. He's asking a suspension question that really has nothing to do with drag.

I would replace all bal joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, and bushings. Your old arms should be good still.

he's also asking questions that have nothing to do with autox/rr. the post should be moved appropriately, such as EF forum.

this post has more to do with rr/ax than a lot of the other stuff in this forum right now. He probably asked it here because he knows most of the people in this forum would have a good response to his question. Apparently he was wrong.

I think he wants to know what to replace on the front, since the chassis has so many miles on it.

Replace everything I said and you will be set.

Nope, I'm a drag racer asking you guys for help!!!!! I wasn't asking for help from my fellow drag racers. The title is kind of self explanitory

Nohing but ricers in the EF forum and since alot of your guys sport has to do w/ suspension and alot of you probably swap suspension pieces I figured that this would be a good place to find help.

let me just clarify where im coming from with this, maybe youll understand. let me repeat, this is not a suspension forum. when ppl come in here thinking it is, take a look and see whos responding to the inane threads, actually, take a look at who is NOT responding. see, questions unrelated to rr/ax (or the ppl who make up this forum) degenerate the purpose of this forum, and to avoid being called an ***, mostly anyone who cares tries their best not to care about the unrelevent threads. rj does a decent job as a mod, he's human and mostly has a life outside of this forum so stuff slips thru. theres also some self policing, but like i said, most ppl who care, just ignore anyway. anytime i speak out for the appropriateness of a thread, like now, im called an ***. whatever. this is my subtle rant.

Another issue is that your question is vague and incomplete. I am not stupid and am pretty good at reading between the lines but I am still not sure what you are asking.

In one respect it sounds like you are asking which parts to replace with OE as a "freshen up" exercise. The answer to that is you replace whatever is worn out.

But then it also sounds like you are asking about aftermarket parts/upgrades or other "alternate" OEM parts. We cannot effectively answer this question because you never told us what your intended purpose is with the car or what your goal for the suspension was. All we can assume is that you are building another drag race front end - which if this is the case then what we will tell you is more than likely the opposite of what you will need to do for drag racing.

Wrong forum - 99% of us have no idea what a drag setup is, so assuming we can answer it "because you guys know about suspension stuff" doesnt help you any.
