Default What is more likely to WARP, the Piston or the Cylinder???

I finally pulled my head today...(Quite a while back my oil pump gear shattered, thrashing a couple bearings and damaging several of my valve tips).....The cylinder was already overbored .020" for the CTR pistons that are still in the block. My problem is that my piston to wall clearance is way more than it should be, but it was nice and tight when I originally put the motor together......I know my pistons suffered heat damage as well as the rings, due to the fact that I drove it untuned for a long time before I finally got the ECU reprogrammed, and after learning QUITE A BIT since then I'm pretty sure I didn't break it in properly either! Which now brings us to the present, I'm not sure whether or not the piston has changed shape as I have seen in pics from improperly tuned/broke in motors, or if the cylinder is warped....I AM HOPING it is the piston, but in the unlikely event is the cylinder, what is the max I can overbore it? This will be my only alternative at this point in time as I can't afford to sleeve it. I've read 82mm??? Please take a look at the pics and give your 2 cents if your qualified to do so, as I'm not going to know which it is until I can get my hands on a cylinder bore gauge and get have time to get the pistons out........

The only way to determine what is wrong is by pulling the motor apart and measuring everything. It could be either or both but only your machinist can tell you for sure.
